Now you can even see the eagle owl directly. She seems to be stable over the weekend to "nest", we call their hole in the ground.

We expect that the first egg was laid on Friday night (March 13) or early Saturday, and now the female apparently begun to brood.

Here is a wonderful recording with both owls in the evening darkness, before the female went to the incubator.

Enjoy here a recording of a great horned owl couple in Jutland. It is the male that provides a gift exchange for the female to impress her and show that he is really a good mate.

The egg-laying dates: March 4th, then 6th, 9th, 11th and 15th. According to literature tawny owls start incubating with the laying of the first egg, and the incubation period lasts 28 days.
According to the observations from our web camera it has taken a little longer to the hatching of the first tawny owl chick but the early spring weather has also been very varied.
By April 1st, 4 weeks have passed since Klaara’s first egg was laid, we will see if there are surprises for viewers in the evening…
