85 br0ught in food twice today that I know of. He spent a whole TWO MINUTES on the eggs this afternoon. Sorry, but I'm not feeling very good about most of this. He has a LOT more owning up to do in my estimation. Niecey cannot do this all by herself.

Jane..that is certainly understandable!!! It is so hard to accept that Lil' Dad is really not there...I just remember how much I hated it when Mom died..and I knew I was going to hate whoever followed...and I did...for a while...but, Niecey needs help...so, I'm praying this dude "gets it" sooner rather than later..He definitely is gonna have to earn whatever hearts go his way!!!

Hang in there...or I will bore you with how many days I cried after Orville died..and then Scout!! (Columbus)

I personally feel he is doing really well. He has come in several times and spent time with eggs, today . this is to be expected right now. He spent quite a bit of time guarding area also.

I have seen some ,males who have come in at this point in season, not even attempt incubation till eggs are ready to hatch. He is bringing in prey and that is what Niecey needs right now. Eggs can be left uncovered , a bit.He sometimes brings prey to that area beyond cement pillar. I have seen him fly up with it. If you saw Nieceys big crop today, she is not starving LOl

yesterday, he spent time in nest box while Niecey was on stick. all will be fine.

I find if you do not see them on cam, they are not far away.

I did not have time to snap more pciutres today. will try tomorrow, so you can feel at ease.

young male has been in a few times. He did spend about 6 minutes at the egg , either on it or just in front.

He has brought in 2 prey items so far that I saw

I am very sorry about this happening. He was really great. You can still visit his son and family at the dam. They are now in the twin towers on the island(saw him Monday).

Andrew J, I appreciate knowing that you saw Little One. When a friend and I were at Conowingo in October we were told that the falcons had moved to the one tower. They didn't show while we were there, unfortunately. i would imagine you have some great pictures of Little Dad.

i cannot post video or pictures till after I teach kids but our young male brought prey at 10:02 and went and incubated and at 10:27, he is still incubating , with Niecey on stick. it is raining .

he was on eggs for an hour. so great. niecey went in and he got up, or he may have still been on LOL
it is raining.

I cannot put all 4 cams up as I am watching other things also so I cannot get a good look at 4.
but young male just came in and is on eggs and Niecey is on point

Last night, the resident female, 48/AE, laid the fourth egg of 2021! Over the years, four eggs have been the average, with occasional years going as high as five. If a fifth egg is to arrive, it should arrive sometime late Friday or early Saturday.
Incubation for peregrine falcons is 31 days so eggs should begin to hatch around April 16. Stay tuned to PA Falcon Cam to see how many eggs are laid on the 15th floor ledge of the Rachel Carson State Office Building.

Niecey has had a few nice breaks today. I know this is hard on those that watch from the ground and have watched mom and little dad. I have here a long time also but I am so thrilled that this youngster has stepped up to the plate.
