Gosh darn, yes back to login each time...

We may have to live with this annoyance until I can figure it out. The last time I asked ACENET about phpbb software (that's the coding for BCAW), they didn't know.

I knew they were moving us to a server with a higher security level. I worried it might block members from other countries..like some cam websites are doing..didn't think it might create a log in issue. (anybody remember when Acenet security blocked Photobucket? LOL) There's a very slim possibility that it is connected.

My email with Spectrum has done the same. Makes me log in every single time, no matter what I check..and it drives me nuts.

Sorry...I haven't had time to research it. I need to go into the "guts" of the software to see if something has changed...Having said that, my early research said something about the "cookie" path needing to change which might make sense since we completely changed servers...I need a clear head to rewrite the cookie path..not sure I want to take that on..LOL...Don't forget, I did manage to delete the entire forum at the very beginning..it was not pretty.

I double checked everything in the Admin panel...and all looks "normal"...

Well, given a choice between having to log in at every visit or losing the entire forum . . .
Tough one but I will go with ''log in every time''. :biggrin:

I was unable to sign in for a bit and kept receiving this message:

"Resource Limit Is Reached
The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later."

It just now allowed me to sign in.

Swinwk-Same thing happened to me yesterday...I tried several times over
2 hours and finally got in.

Beth, I looked up the error and one of the things possible was a DDoS attack. There were other reasons offered too, so hopefully it wasn't that. Will feel better when sky checks out.

Thanks ladies...

I was gone all day yesterday...and just too pooped to check in...
I'll try to check it out today..not that I'll understand computer speak ease!! Last time this happened, there was a bot that was hogging all the forum memory space...took me forever to narrow down which bot it was and block it.

Fingers crossed I can figure this out.

Just a quick update..

Currently, nothing looks "amiss" when I look at the "guts" of the forum...We are not even close to maxing out any resources.

Since we switched to a different server, the layout (for me) is completely different. Its gonna take me some time to figure out where to look to find the forum history database so I can see the error...

I waited and just now got in.

I had no problem getting in just now. I'll need to check to see if maintenance was done during that time..(that's when they usually do it.)...

Otherwise, I'll need to be on line to catch it at the exact moment it happens...otherwise, I won't find anything, unfortunately.

Current Forum resources are all less that 5%. The old cPanel used to have a "Resource Limit" dedicated category. The new cPanel does not...or its just probably just called something else and I don't know what it is.

Edit to add: I checked the error log...nothing really amiss at that time other than a barrage of Bots trying to get in that I had blocked months ago. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
