He is a great guy and very dedicated. I hope he can find out why it keeps going out like that. :egg16:

He's going to TS tomorrow to see if he can fix it...he's as frustrated as we are, I'm sure. Something always seems to happen here at critical times! :furious:

Was just thinking, doesn't PA refrain from naming the kids, or is that just Harrisburg (red girl/green girl, white boy, etc).

So maybe she won't have a name and you guys will get to name both!

At least it's nice to know where she is from. Hopefully there's some history on her parents.

Beauty is pretty active on the eggs right now. I've got my headphones in and I think I'm hearing the babies. I don't think there a pip yet, but sounded like what Columbus sounded like before pip. VERY faint and I've got the volume really turned up. The squealing from the brakes and sirens is hurting my eardrums.

She keeps looking down at them and putting her head close.

I also have to add she's got a feather stuck to the side of her beak, so that might be bothering her too.

I also know it's warm, but she's razorbacking and starting to wiggle a lot.

Now I'm sure I'm hearing them because she got up and I can hear them more than when she was on them.

Again, very faint. Chirping - not at the dog barking stage just yet... :egg12:

Donna C. from Rfalconcam and Tracy Simpson from the CPF both contacted people in PA to get info on 67/AR and this is the email Tracy received back:

Hello Tracy,

Yes, 67/AR Black/Green is a female that was banded at the nest on a cliff in Luzerne County, PA, on May 20, 2013. There were 3 in the nest: 2 females and a “sex uncertain” bird that was probably male.

Many thanks for this information. I received a phone call this morning from “E Cook” (phone caller ID; I did not catch the name of the caller) about this same bird - I presume that was your friend, the finder?

Many thanks for the information; very good to hear that she’s out there and doing well in the world. We’ve seen juveniles nest successfully in PA, both females and males; maybe 67/AR will do the same. Please keep me in the loop about future developments.

Art

Buddy boy is on duty. He's sort of standing over the eggs, but not down on them. A few seconds ago, I thought I heard something, and he's looking down, so I, again, think I'm hearing them.

So excited. I think we are still a day or two away, but at least hearing something.

And let me just add, they are so gosh dang cute... Both B & DC with the eggs.

Art would be Art McMorris, who normally bands Harrisburg's kids. I don't think he did it this year because I saw some comments in the topic about having new people doing it this year & that it took too long. :egg15:

Talk about ants in your pants - maybe ants in his feathers. He's up and down, up and down. Poor baby, probably too hot for him to be on the eggs anyway.

1:53AM - B is starting to get active on the eggs. She's repositioned several times in the last 30 minutes and has gone razorback...

Image

I've got the headphones in and am not hearing anything right now, but she must be feeling them and hearing them because she looks down, does some wiggling - not the normal egg collection for incubation wiggle.

It's 65F, so not hot, nor cold. But there really would be no reason or her to razorback to cool if things were not progressing with the eggs!

It's so cool to have a Peregrine here that came from a cliff nest and the man is Art McMorris...he had signed his full name on the bottom of the email to Tracy.

Exchange.

Beauty was up and off eggs. DC is now in. He greeted his babies with chirps and chups.

She left prior to his arrival. I do think I heard the chick(s).

Both are sitting up, rather than tightly tucking. Seem more alert rather than completely relaxed.

Temp is 71F according to feed.

Again, the noises are very, very faint. No clear pipped sounds yet. But, this mic is excellent and with headphones, can really hear pretty good. The hardest thing is trying to hear past the city noises (bus, car, sirens, horn, people, other birds, etc).

Oh, yes. Daddy's on duty and he just can't get comfy. Antsy - picking at pebbles. Eggs not tucked in. I think I hear activity (I know I keep saying that). He's wiggling a little on the eggs, but not really hard.

I love this time. It's so funny to see their expressions. They are not completely in zonk out mode, but more wide eyed and almost like they are listening/feeling for their babies. Probably anticipation... just like us!

OMG - DC is taking to honking. Honk then chirp. Twice... He was on the front lip of box. :egg21: :egg21:

I guess he thinks, "I'll make them, I'll incubate them and I'll feed them, but you have to lay them and hatch them."

He just doesn't want to stay on the eggs very much these past 2 days.

:teehee: :teehee: :teehee: :teehee:

Beauty came to check in at 12:26 at corner of deck. DC was chirping on eggs, staying put, so she took off.

1:32pm - he must see Beauty flying as he's talking up a storm right now. Don't see her on cams.

Momma's home and wants her eggs back. QUICK arrival to deck/beam & into box. She knows that's the way to get him going. :egg11:
