Bird Cams Around the World

I just saw that. I was looking at Google maps. I think KP is about 3.7 miles North of TSB, but someone from Rochester will have to confirm. So, at least there's some separation.

That's where Unity nested...until she came DT, attacked Beauty and took over her territory.

Kris this is not KP where Unity hung out-Power plant on Weiland Rd. is her spot. KP research building on Lake Ave. between Eastman Ave. and Merrill St. is where these 2 falcons have been seen. The adult could very well be the one seen at Unitys' KP on the Stack catwalks which is 2.5 miles west from KP Lake Ave.

And mwplay you are correct on the 3.7 miles from downtown to KP Lake Ave.

the more I see Belle an d her mate, the more they remind of Beauty and DC so the girls have inherited same genes LOL

2:56 - Reverse Standoff. DC is on beam whining to get in and Beauty isn't moving...

Oh, OK. I thought KP, where Unity was, was KP on Lake Ave...the large complex on the left heading towards the lake and I thought this was the same place where these 2 were seen. I'm not that familiar with Rochester so didn't know they were 2 different places.

9:50am - Another reverse standoff. DC is on corner of deck near well wall, calling for B. He's preening a little now. I think he wants to get on eggs, but she's in major zonked incubation mode and responds a little, but staying put.



10am - she's rotating eggs, chupping a little, but basically not moving. He's still there on corner calling to her.

10:20 - she's not relenting. He's still on the corner. She just got up, preened her chest, and back down, chupping a little and back down.



10:35am - He finally tries to make his move nad heads to the beam. She's not moving. FUNNY... She's zonkied. I think he's trying to diffuse situation by preening and looking around. Trying to do quick bowing movements. Waiting to see if he jumps in box.

10:45 - he finally jumped in box and Beauty finally got up!

Meanwhile DT, Beauty is on the eggs and she was sleeping hard earlier. DC should be showing up for his mid afternoon shift in a bit. He was on earlier 10:27 until 1:55pm. He's been showing up around 3pm most days, but today, the shifts moved a bit.

4:06 - shift change. DC on.

After several minute standoff, Beauty is back on eggs at 6:11.

When hatch time comes, we will have to remember one of the eggs has a white spot. Don't want to confuse that with a pip.

We got some tired peregrines. I think DC would like the night shift

Quite the conversation to switch over. B jumped in the box and he wasn't moving. She moved back to the lip of the box and got right in front of him. Finally he got the idea that it was time to go.

10:42 Shift Change.

These 2 are so funny. DC arrived at corner deck, other side main cam and has been calling for a shift change for several minutes (5+). Beauty just continued to incubate, not responding. He finally made his way to the beam and jumped in the box to get Beauty to move. So funny. Neither want to get off the eggs.

If anything, they are dedicated to their eggs and their babies.

Great, strong pair which was needed here. I was sorry that Pigott disappeared but this gives DC a stronger presence DT.
