They do look beautiful in the afternoon light. I wonder how many days we have until a strong wind surprises one of them while he (or she) is practicing and we are going to have a first fledge...looks like not too many more days...

wish the kids would not do thier wing aerobics on the point. all it would take is a sudden wind gust and we could have an early unexpected fledge

Here's one eating the food.

Meanwhile a parent has landed at least twice and this last time when it flew off the end, I swear I thought it was a juvie at first. :egg14:

Spent about six hours on the garage roof today. We saw all those food drops. Whatever the one was around 1:00 appeared to be alive when it was delivered. Niecey was gone for about four hours, or at least we didn't see her. Lil Dad was gone quite a bit, too. He is the one who made the food drops. We THOUGHT there is some green color on Green's federal band. On the last picture that Reenie posted at 5:09, the bird closest to the end of the stick is Blue. We were able to read her band numbers with Sue's scope. When we left a little after 6:00 Lil Dad was on the glass enclosure above the nest ledge, and Niecey was up on 333. An interesting non falcon sight was seeing the Ringling Brother's Circus train pass through Harrisburg.
