ALL READY FOR BEDTIME. ONE BY COLUMN AND 3 BY THE BAD WINDOW. I TOO AM IN NEED OF REST........

Interesting to see the posted pictures from on here after watching it for real. Got down there right about the time that storm hit, and ended up parking in a garage as I was concerned about hail. Don't think there was any hail downtown. Lil Dad was on the camera wire and Niecey over under the overhang of the U Building during the storm. When it let up, Lil Dad went over the the roof of the U and I think got some prey from a stash over there. He took that to the ledge around 5:00. He left, and maybe 10 minutes later returned with more prey that I think he caught. We saw a lot of flapping, especially after 7:30. At 7:50, one of the boys got the whole way around the column where he surely could see Lil Dad on the U roof and Niecey on top of 333. Then the second boy came over to the column, and they had a bit of a standoff. The column rounder finally got back around the thing, but not the whole way, and pancaked there. The other boy looked like he wanted to be at the same place, and looked like he was standing on the other one's back from our angle. While all that was going on, one of the girls was out on the stick. Somewhere around 8:15 Lil Dad landed on the steeple. He hadn't been sitting there when he nabbed something above one of the trees at the train station and took whatever it was to the ledge. It was very small. We packed up around 8:30. Was looking at that plywood behind the scrape in relation to the camera above it. It's not very far from the top of that to the wires for that cam, and I would suspect that's what the plywood climber from earlier today was trying to get to.

Thanks for all the great pics and the report, Jane...I've pulled the cam up several times today, just to count heads...boy, are they gorgeous..and LOUD!!!

I THINK THIS MAY BE A FIRST! 3 ON THE SHIELD. LOOK AT THE ONE TILTING IT'S HEAD LOOKING AT THE ONE WITH WINGS SPREAD, LOL!

I'm so glad you got that photo of three on the shield all at once. This is certainly an athletic group!

I was thinking about you, Jane, during that storm last night & hoping you were safe & dry!

Reenie, so glad you got the capture of the 3 kids on the shield. I was trying to get one of 2 kids on the shield later, but by the time I could get my snipping tool to come up, the cam had switched to the point! :clap:

The 3 I see on the ledge are very intently watching something below. There may have been a fledge. Also not seeing Reenie on here, but if one fledged, she would get down to street level ASAP.

Catwoman, I was also wondering if there had been a fledge. I had been thinking that Reenie would let us know, but you are right, she would be out on the street with the "flier".

We should know soon.

WOW!WOW!WOW! This ledge is really an active one! They are very inquisitive and gutsy. I also think they will be going off soon. Thanks SO much Jane for your wonderful report. Also Reenie's eyes on reporting. I see only three now, but one might be around the column. They advance so quickly. Looking more like their parents now. Most fluff is gone.

Beautiful sun out today after that nasty storm last evening.

The fact that Reenie hasn't posted anything in a while also leads me to believe that she's busy seeing to the safety of one of the kids right now. It would have been before 7 that a fledge took place & I don't think anyone was there watching the kids at that time. Just hope Reenie & the juvie are safe!

They haven't been taught to read, so unless they heard people talking, they wouldn't know they should wait until then! :teehee:

SORRY EVERYONE, NOBODY FLEDGED YET. ONE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COLUMN, WE THINK IT'S BLACK/EBONY :-)

HE SURE LOOKED LIKE HE WAS GOING TO GO EARLIER AND NIECEY AND LIL DAD WAS FLYING BY A COUPLE OF TIMES. MOSTLY LIL DAD AND NIECEY ARE ON THE CORNERS OF 333 MARKET. SO ALL ARE STILL UP THERE SO FAR. I CAME BACK IN TO GET A LITTLE WORK DONE FOR NOW SINCE THERE IS COVERAGE, I WILL COVER AT 8AM AGAIN WHEN SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO LEAVE.
