He keeps appearing outside - or in the doorway, he brot her prey -
he clearly wants her - but maybe he doesnt want her box.
Am I thinking too much?

Some falcons are still laying eggs - so - not giving up :)

I've seen her 'swimming' a few times - and she looks up sometimes
And thats my daily report - absolutely nothing to report

May 7 Wednesday
5.15 am No one home
6.36 am She arrives
6.15 pm She comes with a boyfriend! Yippee!

DIANA IS NOT HOME TONIGHT. 0003CDT DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE FEMALE FALCON "TRICITY" BORN IN 2012 IN KENTUCKY CAME FROM THIS SITE? KITTENFACE POSTED A STORY UNDER "IN THE NEWS" ABOUT THIS FALCON NESTING IN A COURTHOUSE CLOCK TOWER IN OHIO. THE NAME TRICITY SOUNDS LIKE IT COULD HAVE CONNECTIONS TO A POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY. TRIED TO LOOK THRU ARCHIVES, BUT COULD NOT FIND MILL CREEK. I REALIZE THEY HAVE NESTS @ SOME OF THEIR OTHER GENERATOR STATIONS THOUGH.

4 am Diana not home
7 am home alone (Does our lady need a curfew? ) ;)
she doesnt stay home long, just visits, looks around and leaves
8.40 am She's swimming - observed her swimming a couple more times but she is mostly gone
According to mrsfalcon - there is liklihood Diana will re-clutch

A falcon is a beautiful and fascinating bird.
Even so - Diana is an exceptionally beautiful bird

My own take on this initially was that Belinda laid and ate two white eggs. A younger female with a red/black band on one leg and a dark purple band on the other battled her for the site and defeated her. The male mated with her (or possibly she was displaced from another site and already carrying eggs), and she started laying. At one point, it appeared she had two eggs, but (if she did) one disappeared.

We should have had red egg two (or three) by now. This site could be heavily contested, especially given the fact we seem to have bowing in the nestbox again. We should have a falcon in full incubation over three eggs right now, not what appears to be prolonged courtship behavior. We've seen falcons clutch and re-clutch quite late. I'm pretty sure we've had two females based on the bands we've seen so far. Are we going to have a third?

4 am She is home
6 am *poof* she is gone
6.25 am She returns with a boyfriend, both inside - but he left too fast for a snip! WAAAHHhhh!
10 am She has been in n out, now she is *sniffing* around the sides

7.15 pm Her boyfriend came bringing dinner.

I wonder why the scrape is now in the front left (as we are viewing screen)...

5 am Diana is gone
6.30 She just got home
5 pm Diana has a boyfriend and he is inside dancing with her!
He was there longer today! yay
After he left she went swimming in the gravel

6.30 am Diane just arrived home, sniffs around box, swims, pecks on wall (whats that about?)
She comes in and then looks outside, as if expecting a visitor

Diana has not been spending much time at home.
Box is empty most of the day.

10.40 am She is examining every inch of the box, including the wall nearest cam
Then she puts her beek on the wall to our right, she looks up a lot too
All this strikes me as odd
Wups! Here's her caller! He stayed a bit longer this time.
She is pacing all over

Supposedly 2 males were courting her.
I cant tell one from the other.

6 Diana came home, sniffs around box, looks at cam - Hi Diana!
I am thinking Diana cant decide where she wants a scrape
It appears there are at least 2 depressions in the gravel

4 am She is not home
7 am She is home :)
11 am She goes for a swim
She seems restless

4 am NOT home
6.39 am Diana just got home
