Jim just sent an email to the forum, they think Lotta fledged just before sunrise, and think she is across the street on 201 Mission.

So hopefully, there are 2. The one on the bars right now seems a little playful and sometimes unbalanced for an adult, so I think it might be Tera on the bars and Lotta on the roof.

I hope there are 2 there someplace. What would be even more ideal is to see all 4.

They have absolutely terrible viewing conditions on the ground. I'll pull up a google map/street view and post a picture, showing you what they are up against. All high rises, really no visibility from ground.

Here's 1 view from the street if you were standing between the NB and 201 Mission:

Here's a tilt view from Google Maps/Earth View. Gives you some perspective:

Here's a link to Google Maps with address loaded. You can get an idea of what they are up against. I guess there was a place in the Mission Bldg they would use as headquarters to view the nest ledge and also have a much better view of upper buildings in area, but I think the company that had that location moved or closed.

They used to get together at Mission & Main for watching, and that might give a better view of the surrounding area, but still hard. Here's a view from the street at Mission & Main looking up:

I don't know if this helps give you an idea of the area?

Wow! Thanks, mw! That has to be one of the toughest places for a Fledge Watch. Our buildings in Harrisburg are less than half the size of some of those buildings, but we still have trouble seeing the kids if they land on them. They need a helicopter to track those kids there for sure!

Someone is walking on the roof over there and about to get attacked. They were just shooing the parent away. Finally went inside. I think it took a little bit for the parent to realize there was someone there. I saw the person walk out about 5-7 min ago, and walked around corner of building. Took parent about 3 minutes to finally fly. When person walked back towards door, parent tried to attack.

Glenn S posted an update on Lotta:

Joy is reporting that Lotta has flown from the top of 201 Mission to the roof of PG&E/77 Beale Street. At 45 days of age, she is demonstrating how a female peregrine who waits patiently to fledge can be very successful. Let's keep our fingers crossed that things continue to go as well as they have thus far for her and her sister. --glenn@scpbrg

So, now where or where is Tera?

3 short videos of action across at mission turn sound off

Parent has brought food for youngster and flies off

Parent retrieves left overs an flies off and youngster moves over( they kept changing closeup so I tired to keep in screen LOL) adult comes back

I thought this was Lotta as she has had so much food that no way she could eat it all LOL

Lotta flies off and you see her miss when coming back and then more flying. Ithoght maybe flew over mission and then adult
hope I caught it all. I was editing m so it would not be long but I know Jim will have it.

I am sure Lotta will be back on ledge as too much food there LOL now to hear about Terra. she was flying well so hope all is well

where is Pg building form Mission Mwplay??

2 people on roof now and adult flying, one has walked to a far door and it is open and another is by ledge. this really infuriates me. Do they not notify these people

Cannot see it being our observers there. They would know better.

Idiots , opening and closing doors . 2 still open. now has come out of far door and clsoed it , and another door open?????? Geezzz

I get so nervous with this after what happened to our dear Scout

Sorry Bev. I was on a call.

That Mission building is literally across the street - the roof we see in distance.

I agree, it is strange to have people up there. I don't know what kind of information is given out to the building, but I would think if they are up there, it is because they are accessing some kind of equipment. I think Jim works in that building, so if he saw that, would probably report something to security. I also get nervous when I see them up there. Especially the one this morning waving his arm.

Last report was that Lotta was with Cher and Dan back on PG&E roof, so need to find/hear about Tera.

The rules are just so much different here. I think there is more concern with possible endangered shore birds than peregrines. I just don't know.... I mean, look at the endangered Night Heron incident in Oakland - pictures of dead/injured birds, police asking trimmer to stop and some agency wants to say, "there's no proof". Crock of S in my opinion.

Okay, off my box.

The PG&E building is the nest box building, where the cam is. 201 Mission is directly across the street.

Let me try to post a picture to reference.

NB = PG&E building. Box is on 33rd floor - I think at the top. You can see where the bays are a little taller on the top.

201 = 201 Mission - building with roof in view & guys were on it.
