Shep, Let me guess them in your picture, Happy, Jack (aka Henery) and Sandy! What do you think?

Here are a couple more shots from today.

These two were watching a feather float by.

I haven't seen Jack for the past two days, He may have fledged. The Audubon update said they were seen on the top of the nest box and the top of the bank. Watch out avian world, Henery hawk is on the loose! lol Here are a couple of pics of the two ladies last night.

In these pics Happy was doing her impression of a snapping turtle! lol

Fargo Fledge Week?
2 July 2014: The falcon chicks (eyasses) have feathered out nicely over the past week or so. They have also become very mobile, spending time on top of the nest box and along the top of the bank building. All of this means that the chicks will soon become fledglings as they take their first flights!

I want what you got!

Fargo falcons
I dont have verification one has fledged, and I doubt he has - tho dont see him.

I tried to look up information. I have emailed Audobon for verification of names.

ADULTS 2014
Male - Annie
Female - Goldie

The box is at the top of the bank building.
Its a very nice playground. The young falcons can get to the roof of the bank very easily. Its the nicest nestbox I have ever seen, funded by the bank. Nice cam too.

HISTORY
The female in 2000 was a juvenile, named Goldie (b/g 9/*D), who had hatched in 1999 in Omaha, Nebraska.
In 2013 the male did not return.

A new mature male, Annie (mistakenly labeled as a female when banded as a chick) arrived in Fargo in early 2013 and paired with the female who had returned from previous nestings.

26 April 2014
The male chick (black/red, H/72) from Fargo 2013 clutch arrived in Grand Forks, ND on 21 April 2014 and appears to have paired up with the female that has nested successfully on the UND water tower for several years.
It is nice information to have, and nice to know that at least one of the chicks successfully made it through their first year of life. The first year is very challenging for all raptors.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY NEWS ON FARGO FALCON #3 ?
The third is not there early, mid-day - or later, at least I havent seen him.
With an entire roof to safely roam, he just may not go to box,
but I hope he hasnt been hurt.

I thought the female here is Miracle 28/D B/G 2004 Sherco Plant Becker, just wondering who Goldie is?

There is no Goldie here unless she snuck in and took over AFTER the chicks hatched...I just went through the earlier pics...they are all Miracle (at least the ones where I could see the bands...)\

From the webpage:

    20 March 2014:
We have confirmed the the female peregrine falcon (Band - blk/grn:28/D) who has nested in Fargo since 2008, has returned to the area. She was first spotted in Fargo on 18 March 2014 and was identified the following day.

    3 April 2014:
A correction to yesterday's post. The male that arrived is indeed the same male who successfully nested with in Fargo last year. He is a young male (Band - blk: *C/7). We hope this year is as successful as last!

"Assuming" that the male is hatch #3 (5/26), it is entirely possible that the has fledged. Today is day 41 for hatch #3.
