I watched him today with Nettie. She wanted to play. She was picking at his shoulder and tail. He looked back at her, didn't show any weakness, but got away from her.

I know Beauty fed him well this morning (at least I think she did), but now that the others will follow her, it might get harder and harder for her to feed him without interference.

He got fed twice this AM and the first feed was a good one. MAK said she saw him extend his wing and flap pretty good today..just have to see what happens over next few days. MAK's away the next few days so won't be on watch but I'm sure others will be down most of day just in case he tries to fly. He was much less lethargic when I watched this afternoon and more active..he wants to fly. DEC says if he gets grounded, then there'll be an intervention..not before as too risky.

Thank you Kris.

I agree he was more active and alert today compared to yesterday. I just feel sorry for him. I just hope he's not in too much pain. Obviously he is okay to move it and try to flap. It's almost like he just needs to flap really good and pop it in or something. I don't know. He's just so beautiful and I'm so attached to these babies.

I love reading the stories about Beauty & DC's interactions with the kids.

Mercury is hilarious to watch. Nettie is such a good companion for Nor'e, and I'm so surprised that Tesh is Ms Independent!

Nettie is a mother hen..loved seeing her trying to get Nor'e to play yesterday! It was so sweet! Mercury loves to harass his mom..probably would be wonderful to see him and Nor'e flying and playing together. Tesh..yes, Ms. Independent! Beauty gathers all the kids home each night and last night, after everyone was home, Tesh flew off to another area of the building! :egg11: Today, they posted a short video of Nor'e with his wing extended out pretty good and he flew a little and flapped a lot! Hopefully a good sign! I haven't seen any feeding at the box so don't know if Nor'e got fed yet but he's really active..wants to fly and praying he can soon!

What I'm seeing on Chat this morning indicates that Nor'E is doing better today. He was seen preening & he seems more energetic! :loveshow:

Yes! I saw him preening! They say his wing is still a little "wonky" but he's flapping a lot! He also got fed at around 6..showed interest in food and went over to the rail, where Beauty was, to be fed! As they say..baby steps.

Apparently he flew from NB roof to small wall bump this morning. It's on the Rfalconcam Facebook page.

Seems like there is small improvement everyday. And he knows to stay put for now.

I just watched him flapping like crazy, & this time he had both wings up equally, so I'm really hopeful he's improving! :loveshow:

I saw that! I'm a little more hopeful now. Mom just fed the other 3 that are together on another building and then she came to feed Nor'e! Such a great mom..and dad too! Love them together..a great team! :flirty:

It is such a joy to watch this cam! This is such a great family unit, & I imagine that the kids learn this & their nests are the same way! :flirty:

Did you ever get to see the Rochester Falcons when you visited a while ago?

I saw Beauty (on cam 1)! It was of course too early for the kids to be out, but she was up there most of the time we were there! Went to see the spots I saw mentioned in relation to the nestbox, like the Broad Street Bridge & the river. I was hoping DC would make an appearance, but he didn't.

Hubby took some pictures, but he wants to tweak them a bit before I post them, but of course now they're yesterday's news!

I'm so glad you got to see Beauty at least! Watcher's Weekend is coming up next weekend! I don't know how far away you are, but it should be a fun day on Saturday. The kids will be active and there's usually a lot of good eats that everyone brings. Cornhill Festival is that weekend also so some people go over for a while to that. Anyone who wants to is welcome to come and you get to meet people you know on here and the Forum! :egg19:

That sounds great Kris, but I'm in south-central PA so its about a 6-hour drive to get there. Probably not this year... :egg15:

That's quite a drive for you but you'll be able to see pics from the weekend that'll be posted, I'm sure. We're up in the air too because Bill has to have a non-invasive heart procedure possibly this coming week so, if he has it, it'll depend on how he feels.

I was afraid one of the girls was going to leave! Luckily, Beauty came to be with them..like she usually does! :egg19:

So glad the kids made it through red, white & boom all right. I didn't realize that Beauty normally keeps her kids company when the booming is happening, but she's a great mom so I shouldn't be surprised.

Now I need to see if everything is OK with the Harrisburg kids.

Kris, I hope everything goes well with your husband during his procedure.
