No, It doesn't sound Good about Poor Reign...

However, There is quite a bit of activity going on at the box...this is new to us....
This is the first year that M&M are into each other after their juvies fledge, where he is not:
a- ((a goofy sub adult--2012)) or, b- ticking her off for "leaving" ((when he was ousted after getting injured last year 2013))
to come back to the nest box....... and My MY MY! She is digging a crater scrape!! Someone was there this morning too... but just off cam!!...

I'm glad to hear that Reign is still fighting. I think most of us know that its tough to fight off Trich, but some birds do survive. They probably end up being very tough, too. Its very fortunate that the boys didn't get it as well, because in a nest in Reading, PA a few years ago, 3 out of 4 kids got it & don't believe any of them survived it. We followed this nest because the male there hatched in Harrisburg in (I believe) 2006.

Glad Mo is getting more respect this year! :clap:

No more news on Reign today. We did spend the greater portion of the day watching Echo and Meek.Matrix was there about 8, I got there at 9, Ray 10, and C & C were watching when I left at 5:30 finishing out the day. The boys are doing very well. Progressing just as you'd expect. Chasing parents and playing in the air. Matrix caught Mo on the ground picking up a bird this morning. Hope to see those pics tomorrow.

Mo I find the mark on his wing interesting.

I just posted this to the Canton FB page. It's the news I think we were all expecting.
It's with heavy hearts that we share this news, Reign passed away this evening. It's always difficult to lose one. The mortality rate in the first year is always extremely high and many sites experience the sorrow of juvies passing before their time. We were very lucky that Reign was given a chance and she had the best medical care possible. It wasn't to be and taking her may have saved the lives of her brothers and M & M. We're grateful to Laurie Graber, Chad and Chris Saladin, and Dr Riggs for stepping up to help her.

Oh..this is just so sad...I am so, so sorry...but so thankful that she at least had a chance, with as little suffering as possible..and you are so right..this could have spread to her brothers..

I was so hopeful mainly because we had 2 , like her, that were very sick. It took them a long time to recover but they did. I so prayed for this for Reign.
I am grateful she was given the chance and had good care. do not kid yourself. She knew she was loved.

Rest in peace sweet angel . So sorry for those of you at this site

I'm very sorry about Reign. She fought the tough fight for a while, but it just wasn't enough. I am also grateful that the boys were saved from this nasty disease. RIP sweet Reign. :sorrow:
