It is so hard to see things in the nest because Mom carries them close to the vest, so to speak. I have tried to get an idea of how many have hatched at the Anaheim nest where she laid those 11 eggs, but again, it is really hard.

Oh, and when I was checking the netherlands little owl cam, I watched the stork cam and caught a vid of them mating. :loveshow: Spring is truly sprung.

Washington Owls...

Update February 24, 2010
The barn owl nest box has been busy the last several weeks. A recently laid first clutch of eggs were accidently broken by the adult birds.
We expect the female owl to return soon and start to lay a new clutch of eggs.
