:thud No comment. Gigi, you might want to consider a triple WOW! The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:17 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: For the 4th night in a row we have seen the same mature eagle perched in a pine tree in the LY. This is no "rogue" eagle as it appears quite familiar with the LY and at ease. We are very certain it is not Samson as we had a front view of the eagle. Viewing thru my scope we could determine there was not a signature smashed toe on the right foot like Samson has. The eagle we agree appears larger than Samson (likely female). The eagle doesn't seem to have the same feather neckline Gabby has, so we are not sure who the eagle is. The eagle does have light eyes. Could it be Juliet? It's likely only the cams could give the view of the eagle's nares, as Juliet's nares are tear drop shaped. We will continue to keep watch be certain of that! SED to all

:1val: Now they are suggesting the eagle at the LY is Gabby again. The Tuck:

THURSDAY TUCK-IN: LisaS_AEF saved the day with her powerful camera! The "mystery eagle" flew in and landed in the usual pine in the LY at 8:15pm. It's quite possible it's Gabby, as she often perched in this tree before she was "nest bound". However, we can't quite confirm. Just nice to have one of our eagles around in the Hamlet! SED to all!

:1val: Still saying the eagle at the LY is female. The Tuck:

FRIDAY TUCK-IN: It was a rainy night in the Hamlet this evening. Our eagle arrived early at the top of the LYT and remained there until dark. She leaves quite early in the morning (usually before 6am). Enjoy the weekend, y'all

:1val: Now they are saying Samson is in the LY tonight. The Tuck:

SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Oh boy.....guess who? Our Samson arrived at the LYT tonight before 8:30pm with his usual landing vocals. I guess our eagles are taking shifts or keeping us in suspense! It's all good, and so are they! Just blessed we still have eagles in the Hamlet! Take care of yourself and each other and SED to all. Happy American Eagle Day!

:1val: It is unknown where Samson is tonight.

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:42 PM
SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Well, we got stood up tonight! Actually an eagle flew in and landed on the LYT followed by some crows. Once we looked up, the eagle immediately flew. We couldn't determine who it was in the few seconds it was up there, but Samson was there early this morning. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! SED to all!

:1val: Samson did not show up. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:25 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: We had a "no show" tonight, but it's that time of the year, so we aren't surprised. We will continue to tuck for several nights whether we have a tuckee or not....just in case! SED to all and to all a good night!

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: An eagle landed on the LYT a little after 7pm tonight unusually early. It was rainy out, and the eagle was soaked. As the eagle dried off a bit it was obviously not Samson based on size. We believe it was Gabby. She was at home in the LY, and although we were at a distance, she was quite focused on us as Gabby usually is (Samson could care less LOL). She later flew to the nearby pine to roost for the night. Nite and SED, Gabby!

:1val: All cams are down for me. They think it's Gabby again at the LY per Glenn's photo. No ground crew tonight. The Tuck:

WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Well, Well.....it looks like Gabby showed up soaking wet!

:1val: The 3 cams are up, but sound only on the 4K and it sounds distorted for me. Samson is at the LY tonight. The Tuck:

THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Samson was already perched in the LY when we arrived a bit after 7:30. He was in a pine and soon flew over to the LYT and was there when we left. The crows came to annoy him a bit. He just ignores them. LOL SED to our Samson and to all!

:1val: Samson stopped by the nest tonight!! The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Yesterday at 8:59 PM
FRIDAY TUCK-IN: Samson flew in at 7:43pm and landed on the LYT. He was bothered by another bird we couldn't ID (not crow, osprey or vulture) but it was a dark bird. Samson was vocal and circled a couple of times. He finally flew and low and behold he went to the nest! WooHoo!! Once he left the nest, he flew past the LY, and we didn't see him after that. What a joy to see him at the nest tonight! SED to all!

:1val: No eagles seen today. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:52 PM
SATURDAY TUCK-IN: It was very quiet at the LY tonight and no sign of Samson. Last night I was thinking.....was it his final visit to the nest? His actions were somewhat odd last night. Then when he left the nest and flew past the LY at dusk, I really wondered. Whether we see him again until fall or not, we can reflect on one very special and joyful season. Be certain we will continue to "tuck" for sometime and look forward to the end of August with expectations Samson and Gabby will return. SED to all and please take care of yourself and each other. Mask up!!

:1val: Samson not seen again today. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:27 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: Another "no show" kind of a night. We think Samson has departed on his summer hiatus. Friday night was rather odd, and I mentioned it may be his last hurrah for the season. I don't mind to be proven wrong, but either way, it's been such a rewarding season. With Connor's instruction Glenn activated Cam 2 audio at the equipment box tonight. We expect HDonTap to get it up and running tomorrow. Cam 1 audio will likely have to be replaced during cam maintenance this summer. Have a pleasant night, everyone!

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: No sightings tonight. What fun to have other beautiful (and quite vocal) raptors visit the nest in our off-season.....can't exactly say we have an "empty nest"! SED to all
