TUESDAY TUCK-IN (Dec 22): Thanks goes again to the chatters for doing the tucking tonight! Samson and Gabby are totally tucked on this pleasant night in the Hamlet. Tomorrow is a very special day as we celebrate Samson's 7th hatch day!

WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Samson and Gabby must have been off this afternoon celebrating his 7th "Hatch Day"! They finally flew into the LY one by one close to 6pm with sweet vocals. It is likely they will roost there for the night.

Sam flew off @8:59 am to get whatever Gabby was requesting. Gabby jumped to the nest @10:17. She cast a pellet @10:59 am and Sam flew in @11:08 am. He jumped up to Sunset Branch. She jumped back to the nest @11:16 am and began doing some nest work. Sam jumped back to the nest to help her out. They shared some beakies and sat together just looking around for some time. Sam flew at 12:13 pm and Gabby remained in the nest just watching.

Gabby decided to try the view from the Sunset Branch at 1:11. Sam brings Gabby a fish at 1:23. She devoured it and now both are in the nest

CHRISTMAS EVE TUCK-IN: It's a stormy night in the Hamlet with high winds and rain until about 2am. Temp is currently mid 30's. It will remain chilly on Christmas Day but lots of Florida Sunshine. Gabby is taking the weather in stride laying in the nest. Samson flew off about 8pm. Wishing you and yours a Blessed Christmas and healthy and happy Holiday. SED to all and to all a good night!

SATURDAY TUCK-IN (Dec 26): Our thanks to cam op, jd_AEF, for tucking tonight. We waited at the LY (just in case), but always glad when our resident eagles stay home for the night. Gabby has spent significant time at the nest over the past few days.....teasing us? Either way, it's wonderful to have her home and laying eggs in her time. Samson and Gabby are fully tucked at the nest tonight, SED to them and to all!

My goodness. Samson brought in 3 fish today for Gabby. Her appetite is never ending. Samson has been such a good provider and Gabby's crop is huge tonight. Must be getting closer to egg-laying. Both sleeping in the nest tree tonight.

2 am and no one has moved from their assigned seats at this time.

Both appear to be sleeping peacefully and no visits to the nest.

2:38 am Samson moves up next to Gabby on her Wallenda branch. Sweet birthday songs!

WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN (Dec 30): Gabby sure has been a "home body" 'er "nest body" lately. She was either in or perched at the nest all day, until this evening when she finally stretched her wings. I found her perched in the back of the nest from a distance. I could tell it was her by the crop. LOL Samson delivered 3 fish to her today, and they mated 4 times!!! I'd say it was a marathon day at the nest today! I'd also say she's in her fertile cycle with eggs on the horizon! They are tucked at home as seen on Cam 1. SED Samson and Gabby and SED to all! It's almost Happy New Year's Eve and there's a big moon out there y'all!

First egg for Samson and Gabby at 5:00 nest time!!

Can be seen on DVR per YT link:

At 6:00 pm, Gabby through gingerly vocals lets Samson know something's up as he perches on a limb. Watch his reaction to her vocals when she continues them during the 6:00 pm minute. After he had gone to the nest she finally let him see the egg at 6:04.

Gabby is on her egg and I was unable to find Samson on the tree.
