:1wavingsnowgirl: Samson is on the tree. Per the DVR on the YT link for cam 1 at 1:16 am he is on a branch with his head tucked asleep and at 1:18 am he is alerting and the cam op goes back to Gabby who was off the egg already taking a break, but she is trying to see what he is alerting about.

AEF NEFL Bald Eagles - Gabrielle Salutes the End of 2020 with an Egg! 31 Dec 2020

author : Luceforall :4xmas102:

Gabrielle had been spending the morning at the nest, often laying in the bowl and only leaving for short intervals. In the afternoon, she was making last minute adjustments to sticks. Labour began just before 5 pm and was over in a matter of minutes. There were soft vocals as she was trying to push the egg out.

This is only her second season and eagles lay between one and three eggs - the next few days will tell! If all goes well, we should see a chick in the first week of February :)

suncats_AEF#8968 Today 01/02

12:44 pm Gabrielle feaks her beak at the V branches, moves a stick around, and continues standing.

gretchen_AEF#1945

Another warm day in the Hamlet. Current temp is in the high 70's with a high around 80.
Cloudy day and a slight breeze giving NE24 some exposure. All is well!

1.28 pm It's hot. Sam and Gabbi and Egg

Samson remains on Wallenda Branches.

:1wavingsnowgirl: Samson and Gabby are both home tonight and he can be seen on cam 1 and she on cam 2 and the 4K cam currently. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:46 PM
SATURDAY TUCK-IN (Jan 2): Not much need for a tuck in report lately as our special Gabby is assuming her position, and Samson can't resist staying close by his family on Cam 1 (Wallenda Branch). The temps are still quite warm (low 70's) promoting annoying bugs. The eagles handle them better than we do! Tomorrow night we expect a cool down in the Hamlet and likely rain coming in the morning. All eyes on deck as tomorrow NE25 may likely grace this special family. SED y'all

:1wavingsnowgirl: First glimpse of both eggs that I could find starts at 6:42 pm cam 1 on YT with DVR and there are a few more showings after this one. Samson is on the tree now, but has not been on the nest to see his egg that I could find. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:03 PM
SUPER SUNDAY TUCK-IN (Jan 3): Yes, we have 2!!! Gabby laid NE25 Egg tonight just as chat concluded at 6:01pm. ETA (estimated time of hatch arrival) for NE24 is likely Feb 5 and NE25 a couple days to follow. Gabby actually did the tucking tonight, and she's tuckered out too. Samson is zonked on Cam 2. He hasn't seen NE25 Egg yet. We are all feeling the blessings of a New Year! SED to all

author : Luceforall :1val:

After a fast labour, Gabrielle laid her second egg in the evening - it took a while to see it as it was hidden by her feathers! Congratulation, Samson and Gabrielle - let's hope that NE24 and NE25 successfully hatch in early February :)

:1wavingsnowgirl: Only Gabby home tonight. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:37 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN (June 4): Gabby is front and center and fully tucked keeping her prize possessions toasty warm. Samson flew at dusk and likely right across the street in the ET. It's very likely he will find his way back to the nest tree during the night. All is so fine in the pine! SED to everyone as we embrace this journey ahead

:1wavingsnowgirl: Samson is at the LY tonight. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:29 PM
TUESDAY TUCK-IN (Jan 5): Gabby and her precious cargo are fully tucked on this pleasant, calm night in the Hamlet. Samson is roosting in the LY tonight per ground crew, Glenn. Be certain he will return home bright and early in the morning (if not sooner!). SED to all
