So far I have only seen pictures of the second chick. It is quite chilly and breezy here today. so Niecey will probably be brooding most of the day.

Thanks Terka. I am looking at the cam at the wrong time. it's now up to about 50 here, and that's about as warm as it is going to get.

:eggthumb: Feed in progress. Feeding #1, #2 draped over an egg, #3 lying other side of #1, but in glare of sun hard to see from cam 2. Chick #1 looked like it tried to bonk #2 at the start of the feed, but was too bobble-headed to do even though they don't bonk actually.

Then #1 went into food coma and with it's head propped against an egg, #2 is being fed. Then Niecey left to stash the remainder and soon returned.

Before she came back the sun is no longer glaring, the chick I thought was #3 woke up and raised up and now I believe this one is actually #2 as it appears completely dry. And who I thought was #2 above is probably #3 as it had just a very slight amount of dampness on it's backside, really it is mainly dry. They are all covered now. Heard just a quick stint of kakking, but when I went back in could not see anything.

That feeding was in progress when I tuned in. The newborn was still slightly damp, but it was fed. Sun is in and out here, but it is NOT pleasant outside. Breezy, but the scrape is well protected from the wind.

:loveheart2: Just had a feed of sorts. Heard 85 and Niecey left the nest and right back in with a piece of prey. Thought she was going to feed them, but ate most of it herself and you could tell she was hungry. A couple of the chicks were down anyway. Then the chicks started with soft cries and she went over and fed, but eventually blocked feed from cam 2. Went to cam 1 and she finished quickly and down to cover them. Didn't see any pips this view of the remaining eggs.

:15heartbeat: Haven't seen 85 this morning during my time here, which is unusual. Tried to find out earlier elsewhere if anyone else had seen him, but the original post there along with my question under it are gone. I haven't caught Niecey off the chicks/eggs so far.

Not sure exactly, but there was a feeding about two hours ago. I didn't see the very beginning, and not sure how long it lasted. Lousy weather here today, with chilly rain. Temps in mid 40s.

:egg15: Raining, definitely not a good day for hunting. I hope there is plenty in their cache.

:7val: :hatchegg: :hatchegg: :hatchegg: :hatchegg: Still very wet! This will sound ridiculous, but I had just made supper and set down to eat and looked up at the screen and saw this odd pink- looking thing standing next to the chicks, finally it dawned on me it was a new hatch and still wet. I believe when one of the other chicks stood to wait for Mom to come back, this new hatch must of hitched a ride upward. That or I need more sleep! :teehee:

:15heartbeat: A feed just finished up. Hoping Niecey will get that half shell away from the egg, it's way too close for comfort...
