Nobody on the nest tree for now, but both here earlier this evening. They have been reported being on the ET tonight.

Samson and Gabby are not on the nest tree tonight so far. They went to the ET tonight and mated shortly after arrival per Gretchen. They also mated this morning on cam. Video and photos at site.

They are not on the tree at this point at least, tonight.

They were both here throughout the day, just not tonight.

Gabby was in quite a bit today, but they are not on the nest tree right now.

Gabby is home on the nest tree tonight. She had a SA visit earlier that she ran off per site and they have photos. Samson has not been seen since Friday morning. Gabby was on the nest tree or nest off and on throughout the day.

Placing this here this morning from last evening from Gretchen. When I was searching yesterday for when Samson last seen...it seemed to be before their morning chat on Friday, but there was no mention of where.

SATURDAY TUCK IN: Gabby is front and center on the cam roosting at home tonite. We haven’t seen Samson at the nest again today. He was seen with Gabby in the LY yesterday morning. He is due home soon!! SED everyone

What does Trust the Eagles Really Mean?

Sometimes the true intent of TRUST THE EAGLES is misleading. It does not imply everything is going to be the way you hope or expect it to be. It simply means nature is going to play out as nature plays out. It is not up to humans to interfere or attempt to control. In their nesting affairs and their territorial disputes, we are OBSERVERS along for the ride courtesy of cameras. It means we have no role. We must trust the instincts of the Eagles to resolve their situation. Simply put they've been resolving and surviving with their instincts longer than any of us have been on earth.

In short TRUST THE EAGLES is a reminder to relax and breathe. They've got this - it's their lives as dictated by nature. If realities are too upsetting to your spirit, there is no shame in stepping away or taking a break. We have all had to do it at one time or another.

Are we ever disappointed? Of course we are. December 2018 was heartbreaking. Currently we are very concerned about Samson - while he has been known to disappear from time to time, this feels different somehow. We are hoping for the best possible outcome while realizing at the same time, it is out of our control. However, through it all, WE TRUST THE EAGLES.

As most of you are aware, Samson has not been seen at the nest since Thursday evening, however, he and Gabrielle were spotted perched together Friday morning on a nearby tree off cams. We are concerned that Samson has not returned to the nest and can assure you that everything is being done to try to find his whereabouts. When we have any information at all, we will post updates. We appreciate everyone's concerns and prayers for Samson's safe return.

I couldn't figure out why NEFL keeps sending out messages from their site and then it dawned on me...there is a YT chat and sure enough, it is blowing up!

The NEFL cam team is concerned about Samson's odd disappearance as y'all are. I did a search today, and we will be searching again tomorrow. Any news will be posted. We remain hopeful and all prayers are encouraged and appreciated.

On closer review, NEFL has reversed it's decision and have said they will continue to look for Samson tomorrow. Gabby forced this intruder off the nest after it went there.

Beth I am so thankful you checked back in and saw this. I was going to send you a PM and let you know as I saw you had seen the initial report. I am very, very concerned now for Samson, but will remain hopeful for his safe return to NEFL. This is what JD is saying now:

of 6:45 pm, the rogue eagle
returned to the nest tree and was
perched for quite some time.
Gabby was fully tucked and did
not seem aware it was there,
At approx. 7:30 pm the rogue
eagle jumped into the nest and
Gabby woke up. Gabby wisely
chose not to engage the eagle
in the dark and it flew up to the
Sunset branch where it is still too
comfortably perched at 8:00 pm
