River and Obey have their 1st hatch DH17 at 2:12 PM CST! (One of the remaining eggs is currently capped, but it is thought to be on the pointy end.)

DH18 hatched yesterday for River and Obey at Dale Hollow. That leaves the capped egg as described above to hatch.

DH19 hatched today from the capped egg on 3/7/23 for River and Obey at Dale Hollow! DH19 hatched 4 and 5 days after it's siblings. I read that it did get possibly 1 bite of food during a feed on hatch day.

Trey the eaglet at the KNF E-1 nest of Anna and Louis was struck by a GHO 16 times in a little over 30 minutes 2 evenings ago. The mod reported this was the 1st time a GHO was seen here. It really shook Trey up, however no injuries were noted yesterday and while Trey was not as active on the nest as usual, Trey did wingercize and such and appeared to be okay. The cam buffered during some of the strikes, but Mod Tonya recorded or commented on all 16 in this 10 minute edited video.

Trey the eaglet of Anna and Louis @ KNF E-1 nest fledged today! This is the eaglet that it was reported by their mod who was struck by a GHO 16 times in a little over 30 minutes a little less than 2 weeks ago.

Please keep the Dale Hollow nest of River and Obey in your thoughts. They have 3 eaglets (can't remember hatch dates) who are in the gray feather stage with pin feathers emerging. Obey their father went missing after going to chase intruders away on Tuesday evening. He has not been seen since and only heard on Wednesday morning. River is hunting for and feeding her babes. She can be heard calling out at times for Obey and today also some alerts as she is dealing with intruders.

Obviously very concerning that he was heard on Wednesday morning, but not seen...

In the KNF E-3 nest of Alex and Andria have seen reports and captures of an egg seen on Monday the 20th. However, that cam was down a few days and same source reports elfruler has it to be the 2nd egg. Went to her site and she reports unknown what happened to 1st egg...I don't know the backstory on that.

The 2nd egg for KNF E-3 nest of Alex and Andria on 11/22/23. Elfruler has changed her original record to reflect this is the 2nd egg. (See above.)

KNF-3 nest chatters are reporting Andria had a seizure shortly after noon on 12/7/23. I did not see the event and so far, have been unable to find a video. She has incubated since. A little under an hour ago she got off the eggs and went to the rear to stand and preen, now sleeping with her head tucked.

It does not look good for Andria at the KNF-3 nest. She last incubated their 2 eggs early afternoon after which she went and stood on the rear of the nest where she remained the rest of the day. At about 22:05 she awoke and was swaying some. At 22:16 she was losing her balance and it worsened over the next couple of minutes till she finally fell forward on the nest using her wings to try to right herself and her head fell back some and she fell back and off the nest without any control seen. Using another cam, the cam op located her several minutes later possibly without movement. The view is very obscured. The site had said after the possible seizure the day before that they would not rescue her unless she came to the ground. They expect the Rangers to go to the site in the morning, but I will be surprised if she is alive.

Andria's body was recovered by the Rangers this morning. Alex came in this morning most likely due to an intruder eagle. As he flew to the limb alerting you could see the intruder bald eagle do a flyby. Alex immediately went down on the nest and incubated the eggs. He is calling out for Andria at intervals.

It looks as if Alex remained on the nest the rest of the day incubating the eggs, but hard to say for sure as there was a power loss for the entire evening and the cam came back on awhile ago. But he is incubating right now. The intruder came onto the nest a bit before 1:00 pm this afternoon and Alex mantled the eggs then tried to shoo it off the nest. It went to a rear branch and Alex immediately flew out to it and got it off the branch and out of there. He went right back to his eggs. I did not check but did note the chat said the intruder was a female.
