Beau spent all evening and early morning at nest site.
Very windy this stormy morning. Hope they stay safe.

Yea for Beau. He incubated again , rolled egg , tucked moss around and now, jus5 before midnight, Beau sleeping at nest and Gabby on egg

To watch his progress and Gabby trust and patience , has been truly educational.

Such a joy to see how Beau has matured and how he just takes his turn now incubating to the point, he does not want to leave.

Beau has really stepped up his incubating. Still floaters around . Hatch or not, been a real treat here. Nature teaching

I am in just to post, Gabby has not been seen since she left nest just after 12pm yesterday.
Do not believe what you read on FB.
Beau incubated for about 30 minutes just after 4pm. He was on nest branch for an hour this morning ,

I do like the mods here( they have been given a tough role and people like to speculate. Gabby was not sick.
Nature is tough. We are just observers in this window.

Gabby back at nest at 1:14 , with prey. Now incubating.
Nature is a wonder

On pip watch tomorrow. ( Jan 26)Do not really expect a hatch, and with Beau still just learning , may not be good idea.
But, I am enjoying the adventure . It is intriguing.

I wonder if anyone - including Gabby - expects egg to haatch

Not really, Shep, but we have seen eggs hatch, over the years, that no one thought would.
So we wait.
But In fairness to Beau , he has shown he belongs here and keeps area safe for nest. His being young, getting into incubating finally, intruders and Gabby missing 24 hours, has really thrown a kink into things. An educational opportunity for sure.
We are spoiled by success
