Syracuse- Four eggs were laid by the unbanded adults, one hatched. On June 28, The “almost” fledgling was blown off his perch. He coasted 2 blocks and landed on the ground in front of Syracuse’s Chase building. Three city workers found him, gathered him up and took him to Kindred Kingdom Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, where he was examined and deemed healthy, banded and placed back in his nestbox. The parents were not present. However the next day Syracuse watchers observed that mom had returned to the nest. If all goes as planned, the falcon chick should fledge soon. Today (June 30) Facebook pictures showed both mom and dad keeping an eye on their boy

:biggrin: Wow, the MNSA cam was evidently down for a while, but has been fixed. No peregrines, but a whole bunch of prey feathers this morning!
