Bev...Lawrence takes forever to load...at least for me.

What good chicks these are to be so calm, as female rests in box. Hope she can get some good rest.
I remember years ago ( the year Mariah and Kyver had Sabrina ( later found to be a male ) and rhea Mae ( nested Sheraton, Toronto other femalesand one that started with an L , that also nested in Ontario.That year , Sabrina came home with leg injury I believe and she stayed in bix, and Kyver hunted and fed her and she and he fed chicks. They were a bit smaller.

I don't think the leg is broken either...I think its higher up..shoulder or the equivalent of our upper arm....don't know what that would be called in a bird.

I think Dad is stepping up..before I had to leave, Dad came and did a feed...and mom let him..he wasn't doing much of that before Mom's injury.

Female came in after male this morning. Male had been in and did a good feed, then she came in. She does quite well, but she needs to stay off leg as much as possible

So impressed here. By 11am the young had 2 great feeds by mom and great one by dad

Sure hope her leg heals but she is managing so well . And as I said , chicks seem to know , to behave and once fed, to let other move in. Just magical :10sum:

Female spent night in box left just after 5am

so far thi s morning ( up to 8:51am) male has brought in 4 smqall feeds an d female 2 small feeds )

Lowell had a situation today at the site, the hinge on the box-door
came open. Lee from the Springfield, MA site notified the UM Lowell
facility and they fixed it, yay! Debbie from Springfield also had a call
into Northeast District office.
