Still no sign of Xavier, so I think sadly that he has met with an accident and it is unlikely that he will return.

Today a juvenile male turned up, potentially a suitor, although could be too young to raise a brood this year. If she accepts him, they could breed in 2026. When this video was taken, she was in the box, so she is happy for him to hang around and is clearly not one of her own offspring.

When Xavier was missing 2 days I figured he was dead. We will never know how. Wild animal took carcas is a logical guess.

Well, you can't access BCAW online which is a shame. It cover a bunch of different nests, plus C&C and other photographers. I agree that the BCAW forum is the main source for discussion of the different nests.

Gimbir, the new young male, brought the first prey to the box and gave it to Diamond.
It's pretty big, very well prepared, could be a pigeon.
