I am heartbroken to announce passing of E32 ( adult male) . His body will be retrieved today. Although not tested yet, this was avian flu. I watched him since 12:00 sept 4 . He was in the morning bonding with K47. Then when he came back he was chupping, seemed ok , stayed the night, but by yesterday, it was apparent he was not well. I only kept track, for our biologist. It was so heart breaking to watch. Another descendant of Radisson gone. It was heart breaking to see K47 last night next to him and this morning. She must have been so confused.
I really do think this is water related our waters are so polluted and environmental constraints are getting fewer and fewer. There are so few who care.
I am glad my grandson is in conservation biology. Maybe he can make a difference
I will write a full report at Scotford. My time is limited

Oh, I'm so sorry Bev.

Confirmed: our E32 passed away with highly pathogenic avian influenza. Hopefully this is the last. We have lost too many to this in Alberta. Soar high my beautiful boy.
I will post a picture in next few days of his son, who came to ground at Scotford this year, and was out at Penmina. He is banded so hopefully we see him return .
