The baby has been found and returned to the nest!!!!! The 3 of them are now huddled in the left corner. :hearts: life is good again!!!!! I have been trying to learn how to do screen caps all season by following so many peoples directions and I am so "challenged", or I would post a picture.

:girlwithfan: Well the adventurous little child didn't stay put for long. I just returned from an afternoon of errands. When I left the siblings were holding him in place in the corner. Now I just saw him jump back up to the window. I have both cams open. He is so proud of himself and is now looking around like he can conquer the world!!!! Hold on baby!!!! NO more tumbles. The 2 inside aren't taking their eyes off that window!!! Is it envy or they are holding their breath. His little tushy is half in. I hope they don't decide to goose him and give him another push.

I have seen a parent deliver at least 3 food drops and the little piggy is taking them all. The siblings were sooo happy to see big sib back home and this is how they are repaid. Life ain't fair, I tell ya. :cryinggirl:

Did you see the new update in the diary? I wonder if they know the oldest is a female or just calling her a "she" generically.
---------
15th - further reports from Tuesday night refer to the owlet simply walking off the edge of the tray rather than being bumped off by the adult. Nevertheless, she was back out on the tray again last night, ignorant of the worry she had caused the previous evening.

This morning BOT staff visited and checked all three owlets over. All three are okay, fortunately none the worse for their adventures.

Thanks to those who supplied food delivery information for last night. It would appear that the eldest owlet had the lion's share of the food deliveries early on as she was out of the nestbox on the tray. However, later on the other two owlets also received food deliveries, presumably once the eldest felt sufficiently full.

Heligan Wildlife Camera 1
Day and night viewing inside the Barn Owl BoxThis barn owl box is
located close to Hannibal's old roost. It has been sited in this barn
since the end of last year. A pair of barn owls have nested in this
box and are busy feeding three hungry owlets.

Thursday 15th July 2010
We installed this camera today and discovered the owlets are
four weeks old.

Oh my goodness, I don't know what happened, my barn cam went dark for a minute and while I was refreshing it, she came in through the window .....maybe I have no idea where she was, and where she came from. I went full screen on the barn cam earlier to see if I could find her anywhere. What a good little hider!! Such a mystery. Did anyone see anything? Oh, well, all 3 there now. (shaking head) :confusedsun: Am I going crazy? Thanks.

seahorse-The Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey in the Duchy of Cornwall, are one of the most popular botanical gardens in the UK.

wikipedia site...

They have had Barn Owls cams for several years at Heligan site but not sucessful nesting seasons for the BO for 2 or 3 years. This is how Heligan’s most infamous owl became known as Hannibal.
June 2008 info...
The Lost Gardens of Heligan was the scene of a Barn Owl blood bath last summer (2007) when one of seven chicks, nicknamed Hannibal ate his smaller brother live on camera. Since then Hannibal broke his leg in August (2007) and was recuperating at the Barn Owl Trust.
He has since been released back in the wild at Heligan 2007-08...

According to Heligan’s website, Hannibal has now attracted his own mate, so we can hopefully look forward to another season of Barn owl chicks (2009).

We watched Hannibal in 2008-09 seahorse...

Maybe this is Hannibal babies?!
