Pro-Riet #2 nest...6 eggs now?

Sad-Tiny didn't make it...I think when the little ones (last born) are left in
the nest to self feed they don't get enough.

:pepper BOT Dairy update :pepper
July 2010

23rd - many thanks to all those who responded to our plea for information
concerning food deliveries last night. Between 9.30pm and at least 1.40am t
his morning there were apparently 11 food deliveries. This is a good supply of food
and we have no reason to be concerned about the two surviving owlets. In fact,
one of the owlets found a cached food item in the nestbox at 3pm and
proceeded to feed.

Well can you believe it this brood is 8 eggs :confusedsun:
2010
Over the winter were the barn owl nesting box on the climb to their faithful and Matt first started to breed April. On Tuesday 22 June, the five young owls of the first brood are ringed. Scarcely had the young birds fledged the first brood, the couple began on July 10 in the box next door with a Zweitbrut

Heligan
Monday 19th July 2010 - The Barn Owl Trust have arrived to ring the owlets.
They will be colour coded rings so should the owlets return to Heligan
we will be able to identify them as 2010 chicks.
Following the ringing we can confirm that this year's brood consists of
two boys and one girl!
The female owlet is the oldest and all three chicks are of a healthy weight.
Wednesday 4th August 2010 - Our oldest female owlet is already venturing
to the entrance hole of the nest box and slowly starting to
investigate the world outside!
Thursday 5th August 2010 - Encouraged by their curious elder sister,
all three chicks ventured out of the box to sit on the ledge last night.
